The automotive world is buzzing with some wild news, especially about a new car that has caught everyone’s attention: the Mxtrem Maverick. This unique vehicle takes a C8 Corvette and adds some outrageous features, like F-18 tail fins, afterburners, and even fake missiles. Yes, it looks like a road-going jet fighter, but those features aren’t practical or legal.
The Mxtrem Automobili team, based in Europe, describes the Maverick as a “super car with wings,” but their press release lacks real details. They claim it’s been years in the making and each vehicle will be customized for the buyer. Inside, the Maverick feels like a cockpit with a flight stick replacing the regular steering wheel. There’s also a red toggle switch and a special control that looks inspired by military jets, but it’s unclear what it does.
Interestingly, only 12 Mavericks will be produced, and some buyers have already shown interest, with deliveries starting this December. However, there’s no prototype yet, and it seems a bit unclear if we’ll actually see them hit the roads.
While it’s great to see creativity in car design, questions remain about whether anyone will take the Maverick seriously—or if it’s just a fun concept. At the end of the day, this is definitely one of the wackiest designs we’ve seen!
