Bentley is seeing huge success with their Bentayga luxury SUV, making up 41% of their total sales in early 2024. To build on this success, the brand plans to introduce a smaller, more affordable SUV called the “Urban SUV.” This will be Bentley’s first fully electric SUV, designed to appeal to a wider audience.
Originally set to launch in 2024, the Urban SUV’s release has been pushed to 2026. While Bentley hasn’t officially named the SUV yet, we know that it will follow the luxurious tradition of its predecessors, like the Bentayga and Continental. There is anticipation around its design, which will likely be inspired by Bentley’s newest concept car, the EXP 15, incorporating bold features like a distinctive grille and unique headlights.
Count on Bentley to offer extensive customization, boasting around 46 billion different options! The Urban SUV will be about 16.4 feet long—just slightly shorter than the Bentayga—but it won’t be a compact car.
This new SUV will be fully electric, built on a platform shared with Audi and Porsche models. Bentley’s CEO promises impressive range and fast charging capabilities, suggesting it will travel about 350 to 400 miles on a single charge. Bentley is also emphasizing the sound the SUV will produce, ensuring it sounds exhilarating while driving.
Pricing details haven’t been announced yet, but it’s expected to start around $150,000, making it more accessible than the Bentayga, which begins at about $207,050.
Stay tuned for the official unveiling in late 2026, with sales starting in early 2027.
